Over the past year I have had the pleasure of working under Dr. Frank Ritter at the Pennsylvania State University. During that time I began to develop a strong interest and moderate understanding of the ACT-R architecture. As an undergraduate I was an aspiring psychologist that became disinherited with the lack of concrete psychological theory. ACT-R appeared to be a perfect fit for my interest in human cognition and frustration with the lack of existing concrete theory. Throughout my time working with Dr. Ritter I have built a few simple models with a focus on developing an effective overlay that adjusts global parameters appropriately. My current future research interest is focused around adding metacognition to ACT-R.
